Testosterone on Paper

My first encounter with chromogenic printing coincided with the time I began using testosterone gel. As I explored changes in my physiology, I integrated my transition into my creative process by applying the gel, originally prescribed for use on the body, onto light and color sensitive papers. The hormone’s contact with the emulsion triggers a chemical reaction that produces unexpected patterns, creating a direct material link between my physical journey and the image.
